Kulubrite 5
Kulubrite 5 is an ultra-fine, floated, dry calcium carbonate filler produced by Idwala Carbonates, featuring a particle size (\(d_{50}\)) of approximately 5.5 microns. It is primarily used as a functional filler and extender in industrial applications to enhance performance and reduce costs.
Primary Uses and Applications:
Paints and Coatings: Used to improve opacity, whiteness, durability, and gloss retention.
Plastics and Polymers: Acts as a filler to enhance mechanical properties like stiffness and impact strength in PVC, polypropylene, and polyethylene. It also aids in reducing cooling times during production.

Our Floated dry calcium carbonate products contained in our Kulubrite product range have been beneficiated through floatation resulting in a brighter, high purity calcium carbonate with particle sizes ranging from 45 micron down to 0.6 micron.
These products are ultra-fine, white extenders with pigmentary properties and good dispersion.
They are used in the paint, chemical, ceramic, plastic and paper industries.
