DHT-75 (often referred to as 2HT-75 or Arquad 2HT-75) is a highly concentrated fabric softener base primarily composed of Di(hydrogenated tallow) dimethyl ammonium chloride.

It is a cationic surfactant used by manufacturers and hobbyists to formulate liquid fabric softeners because it provides excellent softness, reduces static cling, and makes clothes easier to iron.

Composition: It typically contains 75% active ingredient (quaternary ammonium salt) dispersed in a mixture of isopropanol and water.
Source: The “HT” stands for Hydrogenated Tallow, though vegetable-origin versions (often called “Sinoquat”) are also available for halal or plant-based formulations.
Function: It coats fabric fibres with a thin, lubricating layer that reduces friction.
