Zinc Stearate Tech Grade 25kg

Zinc stearate industrial grade is a fine, white, hydrophobic (water-repelling) metal soap powder used primarily as a lubricant, mold release agent, and heat stabilizer in manufacturing

Zinc stearate is a fine, white, water-repellent powder made from zinc oxide and stearic acid, widely used as a release agent, lubricant, and thickener across industrial, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical fields.

Zinc stearate describes compounds of zinc and stearate. The idealized zinc stearate has the formula Zn(O₂CC₁₇H₃₅)₂, i.e. Zn2+ bound to stearate. In analogy to basic zinc acetate zinc stearate is Zn₄O(O₂CR)₆, consisting of a Zn₄O⁶⁺ core with carboxylate ligands spanning the edges.

Key Properties

Hydrophobic and water repellent, excellent lubrication performance, high thermal stability, anti-blocking and anti-caking properties, low coefficient of friction, non-toxic profile for industrial use, improves surface gloss and mold release efficiency.

Key Properties Appearance:

Fine, white, soft powder.Solubility: Insoluble in water and alcohol; soluble in acids and hot aromatic solvents.
Melting Point: Around 128°C to 130°C, featuring a sharp melting range that allows quick dispersion in polymer melts.
Function: Acts as an anti-caking agent, acid scavenger, and friction reducer

Main Industrial UsesPlastics & Polymers: Functions as an internal lubricant and powerful mold release agent in PVC and polyolefins to prevent parts from sticking to equipment.
Rubber: Improves processing flow, acts as a dry lubricant, and serves as an activator for sulfur vulcanization.
Paints & Coatings: Used as a sanding sealer or flattening agent in wood coatings to prevent sandpaper from clogging.
Building & Construction: Enhances water repellency and consistency in dry-mix mortars and concrete additives
