Sodium gluconate is a versatile chelating agent used across many industries, primarily to bind metal ions, improving product stability, cleaning power, and performance; key uses include concrete admixtures (retarder, water reducer), industrial/household cleaners (glass, metal, detergents), food additives (flavor enhancer, sequestrant), cosmetics (preservative, stabiliser), and textile dyeing.

Its ability to work in alkaline conditions makes it excellent for hard water cleaning and metal surface treatment.

Industrial & Construction
Concrete: As a water reducer and set retarder, improving workability, strength, and reducing shrinkage.
Cleaning: In detergents, glass cleaners, and metal cleaning (rust, scale removal) for effective cleaning, even in hard water.
Metal Treatment: For electroplating, aluminum anodizing, and preventing rust in metalworking fluids.
Water Treatment: Prevents scale buildup by chelating metal ions.
