Hydrochloric Acid CP 32% 2.5L
Hydrochloric acid (HCl) at 32% technical grade is used for metal cleaning (pickling, descaling), pH adjustment in industrial and wastewater treatment, chemical and food manufacturing, oilfield operations, and leather and textile processing. It’s a corrosive but cost-effective source of chlorides, valuable for cleaning and activating metal surfaces.
Hydrochloric Acid CP 32% 2.5L Industrial Applications
Metal Treatment: Used in steel, aluminum, and magnesium processes for pickling (removing rust and scale), cleaning, and preparing surfaces for galvanizing and soldering.
Chemical Manufacturing: Acts as a reactant or intermediate in the production of various inorganic chloride salts and organic compounds, including dyes, plastics, and pharmaceutical intermediates.
Water Treatment: Controls and adjusts the pH of industrial wastewater and process water.
Oil and Gas: Used in upstream operations for “well acidizing” to dissolve rock formations and stimulate oil flow, and for scale removal from wells.
Textile and Leather: Employed for desizing and neutralization in wet processing, as well as degreasing leather.
Other Applications
Food Industry: Used in the production of food ingredients like gelatin, corn syrup, and lysine.
Construction: Can be used for cleaning mortar from brickwork and etching concrete.
Mining: Utilized for ore treatment, extraction, and purification.
Hydrochloric Acid CP 32% 2.5L
Hydrochloric Acid also known as Hydrogen chloride has many uses, including cleaning, pickling, electroplating metals, tanning leather, and refining and producing a wide variety of products.
It can be formed during the burning of many plastics.
Upon contact with water, it forms hydrochloric acid.
